Your privacy is very important to us at Traces of You (https://www.traces-of-you.net) and we make every effort to protect it. Please know, in the event we do collect data from our visitors, we will make every effort to protect it and will never sell it. Below we have outlined the various ways we collect information from visitors and exactly how that information is used and disclosed.
All comments are automatically tracked through WordPress under the legitimate interest basis. This includes the IP address from which the visitor posts the comment, as well as the name and email address the visitor enters in the comment form. This information is retained automatically with each comment. However, it is not shared, sold, or used for any purpose other than monitoring comments and helping to protect against SPAM messages.
At present Traces of You does not use any analytics tools to track visitors to the blog, however some plugins do track the number of visits to various posts and pages to highlight how popular these posts and/or pages are with our visitors. This information is used as an aggregate to monitor site traffic, rather than at the individual user level.
Traces of You also has security plug-ins to help protect against SPAM messages, brute force attacks on our log in page, and other security measures. We use tools such as Word Fence to monitor comments and IP addresses and attempt to prevent fraudulent use of the site.
